According to the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) website on April 30th, several innovative product registration applications have been approved. Among them, a cardiac pulsed field ablation system, consisting of a generator, display, footswitch, cart, connection cables, and power cord, is used in conjunction with a disposable cardiac pulsed field ablation catheter. This system is mainly for the treatment of drug - refractory, recurrent, symptomatic, and paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. The catheter, which includes a circular tip, metal electrodes, tube body, identification tube, handle, and connector, utilizes the non - thermal effect principle of pulsed electric fields for atrial fibrillation treatment. Compared with traditional ablation products, it can selectively destroy myocardial tissue, avoiding the risk of damage to surrounding tissues caused by heat transfer. Additionally, the system can measure impedance and indicate the degree of myocardial tissue contact and catheter alignment with the vein, further improving the quality of electrode - tissue contact, benefiting more patients with drug - refractory, recurrent, symptomatic, and paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.
